The ILIMA (Isomeric beams, LIfetimes and MAsses) program aims for coupling the new Super-FRS to the planned ion storage rings at FAIR. In storage rings numerous properties of short-lived nuclei can be studied, such as masses, halflifes and decay modes. This is made possible through application of Schottky mass spectroscopy, and the observation of orbits of stored ions in the system, like it is done at GSI already today.
